HPNGC STANDS IN SOLIDARITY WITH COMMUNITY!

A tense, armed, anti-Muslim protest concluded Saturday in Dallas.

Police officers spread out across Dallas streets, standing watch over a Nation of Islam mosque on Martin Luther King Boulevard in South Dallas. The community and Huey P Newton Gun Club stood in solidarity against the right wing group (BAIR)Bureau of American Islamic Relations. HPNGC rallied some members of the community to surround the Mosque in counter protest.

The group, the Bureau of American Islamic Relations, or BAIR, has made it a habit in the past to show up at mosques with firearms and intimidate worshipers.This time the protest backfired this was not the first time BAIR threatened to protest in front of Mosque 48 in South Dallas. The first time there was a no show and Saturday April 2,2016 the community came together along with Mosque 48 NOI and Huey P. Newton Gun Club and ran them out of South Dallas less than 10 minutes of them showing up on Martin L King Blvd.

On Saturday, BAIR showed up and was outnumbered by members of black self-defense group and community.

“We will not allow them to come to South Dallas with arms and intimidate our people,” Yafeuh Balogun, spokesman for the Huey P. Newton Gun Club..“We’re taking a defensive posture, but we’re not threatening anyone.”

“It’s a people’s victory here in South Dallas today,” !
